Our platinum cured silicone products are also valuable in
medical applications. Take the expertise that the special effects artisans
use and apply it to prosthetics for burn victims or military and civilian
injuries. These products are not temporary cosmetic applications, rather full

Equinox Silicone Putty Products are new super-fast set
silicone compounds (platinum catalyst) that can be easily mixed and applied by
hand to a variety of surfaces.
Equinox Putty is mixed in equal amounts (1A : 1B) by volume.
Pot life is abou
t 1 minute with a cure time of about 7 minutes at room
temperature (72° F / 23°C).
Shrinkage is low and cured rubber is exceptionally strong (very high tensile
strength), durable and will resist high temperatures (for casting
low-temperature melt metal alloys). They also resist cure inhibition.
There are Three Hardnesses to Choose From:
Equinox 25 - Shore 25A -
Equinox 35 - Shore 3A Equinox 50 - Shore 50A
(Platinum Catalysts)
Alginates are used by Dentists, because they are
the only type of casting putty that can be safely inserted into the
mouth.
Differences of Equinox vs. Poyo Putty (tin-catalyst)
1. Price: Poyo Putty (tin-catalyst) is much less expensive.
2. Inhibition - Because Equinox is a platinum silicone it is more easily
inhibited by surface contaminants. However, this putty cures so fast that it
resists inhibition better than slower cure platinums.
3. You can join seams more easily with Equinox, meaning that you can add new
material to newly cured Equinox putty.
4. Equinox putties are incredibly strong...much stronger than Poyo Putty.
5. Being a platinum cure silicones, Equinox products can handle higher
temperatures for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys such as tin and
pewter.
6. Equinox putties can be used to quickly repair platinum silicone molds or for
making cut shim lines on Rebound 25, Body Double and other brushable platinum
silicones.

We continue to sell Dragon Skin silicone
for applications that surprise us. A good example would be the
discovery by othotics and prosthetic practitioners that Dragon
Skin is the "perfect material" for making fast, accurate and
strong appliances (fake limbs, noses, ears, etc.) that are
infinitely better that materials that they had been using.
Dragon skin is also used as a cushioning material, providing an
abrasion resistant interface between severed limbs and
artificial limbs. It was inevitable that this market sought us
out to make softer materials, In response, we are offering 3 new
EcoFlex products thus far.
The EcoFlex 00-30 & 00-40 products are used
for similar cushioning applications, but are also used for making prosthetic
appliances.
EcoFlex 00-30 and 00-40 products are
available in tube sets or bulk packaging. Body Double silicone has also become a
favorite of this industry for its ability to make fast molds of body parts "on
the spot".
Beyond Orthotic & Prosthetic applications, we are
beginning to sell these softer materials to a variety of special effects
