Pewter Industry
We have been tracking the success rate of using our Platinum Cured Rubbers within the pewter industry. Pewter melts at about 450 -475 degrees Fahrenheit, which our stuff can take for "X" number of castings. 

Ecoflex (TM) 0010
A supersoft Shore 0010A platinum silicone. It is mixed 1A:1B by volume and cures in 4 hours (cure time can be reduced with heat). There are not many platinum solicones available that are this soft. What distinguishes ours from the competition is that ours cures without a tacky surface, which many special effects and prosthetic/orthopedic practitioners consider to be an advantage.

Slacker Tactile Mutilator

Slacker is a versatile one-component silicone modifier for platinum silicones like Dragon Skin or Ecoflex, that allows the user to attain a variety of tactile effects. Slacker can be used to for special effects, Halloween masks, and is also being used in the medical field to make prosthetic appliances that exactly match patient's skin texture.

Smooth-on techs and customers have done some experimenting with Slacker and come up with the following results:

	Slacker will alter the "feel" of the cured silicone. Varying the amount of Slacker added to the silicone mix can better simulate the feel of human skin.
	When added in high percentages to Dragon Skin (i.e. 1A:1B:3 parts Slacker), the silicone becomes a gel which can be used to produce a gel-filled special effects appliance or medical cushioning device. We recommend testing the stability of the gel for your application.

U-12 Mold Rinse / Release Agent
U-12 is a concentrate that is mixed 1 part U-12 to 4 parts water by volume. It can be misted onto a mold's surface or brushed on with a paint brush. Plaster can then be mixed and applied immediately without waiting. U-12 does not interfere with the paintability of a casting.
 

Skin Tite(TM) Silicone Adhesive
Skin Tite(TM)  is a versatile two-component special effects silicone rubber product that can be used as:

An adhesive to temporarily adhere platinum silicone appliances such as wounds, scars, masks, etc. directly to human skin. Appliances bend and flex and will stay put until you remove them!

An on skin sculpting medium. Create wounds, scars, etc directly on the skin! Skin Tite (TM) can be combined with Silc Pig (TM) silicone pigments and a small amount of Thi-Vex thixotropic additive.

A casting medium to create molded, reusable appliances like wounds, scars, etc.

Psycho Paint (TM)
Psycho Paint tm is a two component platinum silicone that is pigmented with Silc-Pig tm silicone pigments and then thinned with a solvent to make a paint that readily adheres to any cured platinum silicone. The mixture can be applied using a brush, but Psycho Paint also has a low viscosity that allows it to be delivered to a models surface with an airbrush making stippling easier.

Psycho Paint is also faster curing and it adheres very well to itself and other platinum silicones.

PoYo Putty 30 & 40

Poyo Putty 30 & 40 are new two-component mold making silicone (tin catalyst) that can be mixed and applied “on site” – directly to almost any model. PoYo Putty will hold any vertical surface and capture even the finest detail – perfect for making strong rubber molds that can be used within minutes. Use Less – Do More: Because PoYo is applied as a thin layer, less material is used, saving you money. Molds are also lightweight, making them easier to handle.

Pot life and cure time can be adjusted (faster or slower) by varying the amount of Part B catalyst.

User Friendly - PoYo mold making putty can be measured and mixed by volume (no scale necessary). It will stick to itself and other silicone rubbers, giving the user many application options or for using as a silicon rubber repair material.

PoYo Putty has been used in mold making of valuable antiques and archeological models and can be used to make fast molds of sculptures, prototypes, candles, picture frames, coins, etc. You can cast wax, gypsum and a variety of resins into PoYo Putty molds.

Plat-Cat(TM) Platinum Silicone Cure Accelerator

Plat-Cat(TM) Platinum Silicone Cure Accelerator is an additive designed to “accelerate” the cure time of Smooth-On platinum silicone rubber products without significantly affecting the ultimate physical properties. This allows for much faster removal (demold) of a part or rubber mold from the original model.

The accelerator is added by weight to Part A and should be thoroughly mixed into
Part A before adding Part B.

Note: Adding the accelerator drastically reduces the pot life (time you have to mix and
pour material) of the liquid rubber product.
