FlexFoam-iT!
The
FlexFoam-iT! Series of flexible foams come in 3,
5 & 10 lb. densities. They are two part flexible foams that are
strong, versatile and easy to use. A+B mixture expands many times its
original volume – cures quickly. Vibrant colors are achieved by adding
color tints. FlexFoam-iT! Products
are ideal for many arts & crafts, special effects and industrial
applications. |
FOAM-iT!
Series
Smooth-On’s FOAM-iT!
Series consists of two-compound rigid foams that are versatile and
easy to use. Parts A + B are mixed in equal amounts by volume and poured
into a mold or other form (apply release agent if necessary). Mixture will
expand 10 times original volume and develop a uniform cell structure. Foam
becomes tack free in about 4-6 minutes, develops handling strength in 20
minutes and a fully cured 2 hours. FOAM-iT!tm is
available in 3-, 5- and 15- pound per cubic foot densities.
FOAM-iT!
foams
can be used in a variety of art/craft, industrial and special effect
applications. FOAM-iT! can be
used as a strength casting material, backfill material for hollow castings
(adds structural strength) or as an encapsulation material, etc. FOAM-iT!
can also be pigmented. If your application calls for a flexible foam,
try FlexFoam-It from Smooth-On. |
Dragon Skin
Dragon Skin and Dragon Skin Q are high performance
platinum cure silicone rubbers that can be mixed 1A : 1B by weight or
volume and cures at room temperature with no shrinkage to a shore 10A.
Cured Dragon Skin is very “stretchy”. It will stretch many times its
original size and will rebound to its original form without distortion.
Dragon Skin is suitable for many special effects
applications, especially animatronics where repetitive motion is required.
It is water white translucent and will accept pigments for creating color
effects or for creating a paint that can be painted on to an existing
Dragon Skin (or other) silicone surface. Because of the superior physical
properties and softness of Dragon Skin, it is used for orthopedic and
cushioning applications. Dragon Skin has a pot life of 20 minutes and a
demold time of 5 hours.
In a hurry? Dragon Skin Q (Q=Quick) has a pot life of
8 minutes and a demold time of 75 minutes.
